John B. Papa, CPA, MBA graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Francis University earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude earning his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Temple University with a concentration in Finance & Taxes. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982. To enhance his tax expertise, he earned his Certified Financial Planner ™ Certification from the College of Financial Planning in 1989.
John has advised both businesses and individuals on various aspects of federal/state income taxes, and investment planning. He continually sharpens his skills by taking courses dealing with changes in the tax laws, tax planning, estate planning and other financial topics. In addition, John has appeared as a guest speaker on a local financial radio show, WDBO. Many of his clients are corporate executives, medical professionals, entrepreneurs, and retired seniors.
Before starting his own firm in 1990, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Philadelphia (1979), in the firm’s Audit Practice Division. In 1982, he joined the Property & Casualty Tax Department of CIGNA Corporation working primarily on Corporate Tax Research and Planning. In 1985, he was promoted to CIGNA Corporate Headquarters as Director of Taxes where he assisted Corporate Financial Management on various tax issues.
